Obi Ugochuku is managing partner at GCA Capital Partners, a public sector & investment advisory firm. Mr. Ugochuku provides support to various public and private sector entities in navigating opportunities that exist in the financial markets. He led the process that resulted in the issuance of the first sovereign green bond out of Africa, by the Nigeria Government. He advised the Moroccan Government in the development of its Climate Finance Strategy for its GBP1.5b Mohammed VI Green Fund.
He has a BSc in Finance from the University of Nigeria and an MBA in investment management from Wayne State University in Detroit. He worked for many years at the World Bank, in Washington DC, first with its private sector arm (Asia & Africa) and later in the public sector arms, Global Environment Facility.
